The Power of Touch: Master Hands-On Assists LIMITED

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Hands-on assists can be a potent tool for teachers to communicate alignments and refinements in their students’ asana practice. One of the quickest ways for students to understand and embody the mechanics, depth, and beauty of an asana is through touch, which will also enriches their experience of your teachings. We will dive into the more common asanas assists with partners. We will focus on how to observe form, breath, alignment, energetics of asana, and ultimately how to assist. As the assister, we will explore the imperative of preserving our bodies through leveraging bandhas, breath, and our connection to the earth while providing the practitioner with safe assists that support and deepen their experience and understanding of asana.

For teachers and serious students who want to deepen their knowledge of asana assists.
Fundamental knowledge of asana alignment and anatomy is not required but very helpful.
Bring a blanket, block, and straps (ideal, but not necessary)
