Constant multi-sensory overload and the pressure to produce can add chronic stress, even trauma, to everyday life. We suffer from this form of daily trauma, and yet often feel compelled to push ourselves harder. Often, our body pays the price as much as our mind and emotions. In this workshop, we'll briefly explore the compelling science behind self-compassion, and why it's more effective than self-esteem. Drawing upon the traditions of yoga, mindfulness, and contemplative studies, we'll experience several practical, body-based methods of working with self-compassion that can be integrated into any yoga class or somatic meditation practice. Discussion and meditation with light asana.

CE credits are offered for psychologists
Embodied Awareness, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and  maintains responsibility for this program (M7FORB) and its content. This program offers one (1) CE hour for psychologists.
